Question with NLB and PoP and IMAP
Hi all, We are going to be setting up Exchange 2010. The plan is to use Windows Network Load Balancing to forward traffic between two machines. Both machines will have the Hub Transport and Client Access server roles installed and the virtual IP will be mapped to mail.ourdomain.com. I know it will load balance OWA this way, but someone told me it will not balance PoP and IMAP. Not balancing PoP and IMAP isn't really a concern to me, the only thing I want to make sure of is will PoP and IMAP still work with NLB setup this way? I want all my users to be able to refer to the mail server as mail.ourdomian.com when entering it in their clients. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
