Helle, We are seing big delays sending and reciveing emails between internal users on our exchange 2003. We have a separate mail server that sendsout thousands of emails and the sends the NDRs to the exchange account. Currently there 1529 emails in Messages awaiting directory lookup 480 in Messages pending submission and that number does not chnage is there way to force those to be delivered?

In System Manager go to the queues and you can unfreeze/force connections there. Beware your bulk mails may actually be saturating your line, so time-outs can occur.
