Quota Message Service - Cannot customize messages
Hey, I recently installed the QuotaMessageService on our SBS2003 server. It is working and will send messages, however I cannot customize the messages it is sending. I have followed the instructions listed here: http://www.msexchange.org/articles/Customizing-Mailbox-Limit-Warnings-Quota-Message-Service.html I make changes to the messages that have been placed in the QuotaMessageService Mailbox, but any changes I make don't seem to do anything. I even went as far as moving the messages out of the mailbox and the service still sends messages. It appears as if these messages have been cached by the service and are not even using the message in the mailbox. Does anyone know how I might go about getting this to work? Thanks!

Hi, I understand that the customized message instead of default message is sent to users after installing the exchange quota service. Nevertheless, after we changing the customized message in the QuotaMessageService mailbox, it does not take effect. The original customized message is still sent to user. I would like to know whether you have restart the Information Store service after changing the customized message in the QuotaMessageService mailbox Mike

Hey Mike, Thanks for your response! I don't think I have done this. I can't do this at the moment because it's mid day, but I will do this tonight. Great suggestion!

Hey, After restarting the Information store it has started to work. I had previously restarted the server which I thought would accomplish the same effect, but it seemed to like a restart on the store while the server was running. One thing I will note is that after editing the message when in the QuotaMessageService Mailbox, I must leave the folder that the email is in, then go restart the QuotaMessageService service on the exchange server. If I do not leave the folder it won't take the changes... odd, but it works! Thanks so much for your advice Mike!!! I really really appreciate it!!
