I am running Exchange 2003 (v.6.5 Build 7638.2 SP2) This is on Server 2003 R2 - SP2 Exchange server is not a domain controller. This is a single Exchange Server in the Domain. Client wants to implement RPC/HTTP. Problem is that properties page of Exchange Server in ESM does not display the RPC-HTTP tab. Am I missing something? Thanks for your assistance.

Did you install the RPC proxy components?

Yes. The networking Service - RPC over HTTP is installed.

Where are you accessing the tab from? you local PC or exchange server? Hopefully you've tried rebooting you server. Let us know

I am looking for it in ESM on Server Properties. I am accessing directly from the Exchange Server. I followed all the deployment instructions and have the RPC-HTTP proxy installed. The server has been rebooted. It is Exchange 2003 SP2 Platform is Server 2003 R2SP2 Std. Domain is 2003 AD -- 2 DCs. Exchange Server is not a DC. The Server Prop. window shows Build 7638.2ervice Pack2 Server is not a front end server - This is a single Exchange server in the domain. This property window does not have the RPC-HTTP tab nor does it have the options on the general tab to be a part of an RPC-HTTP setup. I have setup RPC-HTTP on Server 2003 SBS. Different server - different company. This works great. I just want to know why this Exchange with SP2 does not have the option. And additionally, how to remedy.

I have the exact same setup and am experiencing the same problem. No RPC-HTTP tab. Note: We never installed SP1, we went straight to SP2. Help?

You actually need to look it up withinthe actual front-end/back-endExchange servers. Not the Exchange System Manager admin tool. There, you will find what you're actually looking for. Hope that helps.
