RPC over HTTP client issue
Hope someone can help. I am having problems with certain clients using RPC over HTTP on Exchange 2007. While testing Outlook anywhere we have found that the outlook 2007 client connects without issue. However, the Outlook 2003 and 2010 clients cannot connect. When we configure the outlook profiles in 2003 and 2010 I am not even able to do a successful "check name". However when the profile is created and I attempt to open Outlook it prompts for a username and password. Then says "you are not connected to the Exchange server" TMG boxes are in use here. I am confused why Outlook 2007 works fine and the other two clients dont.

If it was only Outlook 2003 clients i would say that you need to check that you have enabled "Encrypt data between Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange", under account settings\Security but this is enabled by default in Outlook 2010.Adam Bokiniec

I have no new information yet. We are in the process of trying to validate the TMG servers to see if the settings are correct. I saw this in a TMG technet article: When publishing Exchange 2007, you need to run the New Exchange Publishing Rule wizard for each access method separately. You can use the same Web listener for each rule. However, you can only publish one access method at a time you select Exchange Server 2007 as the Exchange version when running the New Exchange Publishing Rule wizard. I am trying to find out if this was done properly and if this would affect one Outlook client vs another.
