RU5 installed on CAS/HUB but not mailbox server
While doing my MS updates early this morning I notices that Rollup 5 for SP1 was available to install on my CAS/HUB but didn't appear available to install on either of my mailbox servers? I installed it on the CAS/HUB but not the mailbox servers.Any ideas why this happened and how quickly should I manually install it on my mailbox servers?Eric C.

Hi Eric, Check MS updates are running properly on the Mailbox servers It is recommended to keep all the servers at level same but I guess there isnt any timeline or until you are in any problem. I would suggest you to update it ASA you drop into next schedule window. I think you have CCR mailbox servers, below link would be helpful if you didnt check it yet... Amit,I am running CCR. All of the new MS updates appeared in the available updates window on both mailbox servers, except for the Exchange 2007 rollup. I installed the other 5 or 6 updates. The CAS/HUB server had the same 5 or 6 updates plus it had the Exchange 2007 rollup. Mailflow and all the logs seem to be fine.

Yes, you may need to install Rollup 5 for Exchange Server 2007 sp1manually. Download it fromhttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=652ED33A-11A1-459C-8FFE-90B9CBFE7903&displaylang=enand then open a command prompt run "Exchange2007-KB953467-x64.-EN.msp /lxv* c:\953467.log". Best regards, Xiu
