Hi all, my functional level is at 2000, I now only have a 2003 and 2008 server (both DC's) and wanted to see if it's safe to go raise the functional level to 2008, I know there's no going back once you pull the trigger, there's no more 2k dc's installed, thanks in advanced.

You won't be able to raise the functional level to 2008 until you have upgraded or replaced your 2003 DC with a 2008 DC. I've never had any issues after raising either the domain or forest functional level. Having said that, you really want to make sure you have tested this process thoroughly in your representative lab environment before making the change in production. Tony

Thanks Tony, I will only raise to 2003, someday when we upgrade the 2003 dc to 08 then we'll raise it to 08. We don't have the need for an RODC anyway.
