The information store terminated abnormally" error message and event ID 447 is logged http://support.microsoft.com/kb/810190/en-US This problem is frequently caused by a hardware failure or by antivirus scanning of the database file directory. Event ID 447 indicates that the logical database structure has become corrupted. This may occur for one or more of the following reasons: Disk caching has not committed transactions to the hard disk and the server has stopped responding (crashed). Incorrect log files were replayed during a database restoration. The server has a defective hard disk controller. Note A defective hard disk controller is typically indicated by disk input/output (I/O) errors that are listed in the application and system logs. Database log files have been removed that were not fully committed to the database. During an online defragmentation, a problem was discovered in this tree. As per Ashish this event is often caused by a hardware failure or antivirus software scanning of the database file directory. To resolve this error, do one or more of the following: Restore the database from backup. A bad page link error signifies logical corruption at the ESE level in the database, and it is not safe to continue using the database. The restore must be performed using a backup that was taken before this error occurred. If you do not have a backup that was taken before the error occurred, try to repair the database. For example, you can perform a hard repair, run isinteg -fix, and then use ExMerge on the database. Make sure that you have properly configured your antivirus software. For more information, see the Microsoft Knowledge Base article 328841, Exchange and antivirus software. Note If you are not already doing so, consider running the tools that Microsoft Exchange offers to help administrators analyze and troubleshoot their Exchange environment. These tools can help you make sure that your configuration is in line with Microsoft best practices. They can also help you identify and resolve performance issues, improve mail flow, and better manage disaster recovery scenarios. Go to the Toolbox node of the Exchange Management Console to run these tools now. Dinesh S.

yes you can try that - if you are able to move mailbox to other store - any logical corruption will go however if it is related to any Hard corruption or disk issue then would be a problem. As a troubleshooting step ISINGEG can fix logical errors on exchange jet database, however you may need to execute it till all errors and warnings go. Microsoft recommends to take backup first and run it under support engineer vigilance. PSS wont help in this case. Best option to create another mailbox store and move the mailboxes to another store. Then check with you H/W vendor and see if there are any issues with disk. As per exchange database is concerned, as Ashish suggested, you can run IsInteg and check. But for this the database needs to be offline. So instead of entire database offline, you can move the mailboxes in chunk and the down time will be minimal.
