Recipient limits - changing the default warning message
Hello all,Is there a way of modifying the email that gets sent to a user when an email they send exceeds the default Maximum recipient limit? At the moment our users get:- Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients. Subject: limit test Sent: 14/06/2007 14:59 The following recipient(s) could not be reached: Joe Bloggs on 14/06/2007 14:59 The e-mail system limits the number of recipients that can be addressed in a single message. Send the message multiple times to fewer recipients. etc etc We would like to customize this message. Is that possible? thanks in advance James

Now this is defonatly not the microsoft way to do this but it will work. You will have to modify MDBSZ.DLL to make a change. http://blogs.geekdojo.net/praveen/archive/2005/01/07/5989.aspx< See example here of how to do it. Line 66 in the Message Table for 1033 has the message you are looking to modify. 66, "The e-mail system limits the number of recipients that can be addressed in a single message. Send the message multiple times to fewer recipients." This is not reccomended however it will work. If you do decide that this is what you would like to do make sure that you backup the dll before making changes to it. Aslo keep in mind that every time this dll gets updated in a patch, or SP you will have to make this change all over again. I also beleve that this will require a restart of your exchange services.
