I had a user create a new form with her Outlook 2010 (Exchange 2003). The new form has the SAME NAME as the old form. We had her recreate it because of so many "forms cache" errors that forms could not be opened if created in Outlook 2003 or earlier until the Forms Cache was deleted (huge pain). Anyway, filled-in forms we have saved outside of out look no longer open (these are forms we have saved outside of outlook for compliance reasons. Just like when you drag and drop an email from your outlook). On any comuter in the domain. What I want to know is, how can I recover the old form format? I have daily backups of Exchange, but cannot restore just a form, I have to restore the whold First Storage Group. Hi, Is that mean that you can solve the problem when you delete the Forms Cache? you can try to clean the Cache by using the following method, Outlook 2010 File-> section Options-> section Advanced-> group Developers-> button Custom Forms…-> button Manage Forms…-> button Clear Cache or you can try Use the ForceFormReload registry key When the forms cache seems to cause problems sporadically, and you cannot determine the cause of the problem, you can to set the ForceFormReload registry key in Outlook. When the ForceFormReload registry key is enabled, and Outlook encounters an error when opening an item that is based on a custom form, Outlook automatically clears the cache for this specific form. Then, Outlook tries to open the item again. While this method does not correct the cause of the forms cache problem, this method does make the problem transparent to people who use custom forms. To enable the ForceFormReload registry key functionality, follow these steps: Start Registry Editor. Hi, Based on my research, forms cannot be restored separately. You have to restore the whole Storage Group and retrieve the Public Folder information, and then export the forms to the Outlook client. Jason, The problem is not with the forms cache, the problem is that someone tried to create a new form with the same name. This saved over the old form in the Exchange public forms. Now the old form (format) is no longer readable.Thank you for helping!

Novak, I believe this will solve our dilemma. So may I restore the storage group to a separate place and browse through it with Windows Explorer, or will I need to mount that storage group through the Exchange Manager? -JustinThank you for helping!

Hi Justin, Since Public Folder store cannot be recovered by Recovery Storage Group, I’m afraid that you have to restore the database on a separate Exchange server.
