Hi,One of my users has deleted some mails from the inbox. And we have no retention policy in place. Is there any way by which i can retrieve the users mails from specific date...using GUI if possible.

Did you change the default settings of Recover Deleted Items on database level? Which is by default 7 days in Exchange 2003 and 14 days in Exchange 2007. If you dindn't change default settings of Recover Deleted items, then you can recover deleted items from dumpster by flollowing below article... In that case you need to restore the data from the last backup using recovery storage group. You will need to perform the steps mentioned in the article which Amit has posted one at a time for each SG. Means you need to create a RSG for one storage group perform your restore, delete the RSG. Create another RSG and so on.........

Yes, what Mukesh told. You need to do one by one since one RSG is limited to one per server. If there are multiple databases in same storage group which you want to recover then you can put those all together all in one RSG.Amit Tank | MVP Exchange Server | MCITP: EMA | MCSA: M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
