Redirect Email
I have a 2003 Exchange Server. How do I redirect the emails from one user to another in the same domain. I don't want a copy of the email left in the origional users mailbox. I did see a option in the users account in Active Directory " Delivery Option ". But it states it for Forwarding. Thanks for any help

Hi,You can do it with forwarding and leave the option Deliver messages to both forwarding address and mailbox check box off.Regards,Johanblog: www.johanveldhuis.nl

Johan,Is there a way to accomplish the forwarding if the users account is disabled in Active Directory. We have a user that is leaving the company and I'll need to disable their account, but would still like to keepthe mailbox fowarding active for a week or two after. Thanks in advance.Regards,Marty

Hi,
No this will cause the sender to receive a message that the account is not enabled. In that case a simple trick is to add the e-mail address of the disabled box to the mailbox where you would like to forward the e-mail to.

Not sure if you are right about this one. At least, in a thread discussing SBS 2003 / Exchange 2003 with SP2, I tested and verified that a disabled user would receive mail. However, I did not test forwarding.

John,I agree with you that it should work, but in that case Marty must ensure that the specific hotfix has been installed.Regards,Johanblog: www.johanveldhuis.nl
