RegCure
What can Microsoft tell me about RegCure?

I'll bet you will be hard pressed to get an official or "public" unofficial position on a 3rd party product like this. IMHO, any third party product that scans through the Registry and makes changes could possibly make things worse rather than better. This whole genre of 3rd party products (registry cleaners and computer cleanup software) offends me a bit due to their approach to advertising. Not to say RegCure does the same thing, but these companies that generate pop-up ads that make it deceptively hard to not follow their link is disreputable and therefore prone to arouse suspicion on my part.

Thankyou, that is my suspicion too. But, Iwas caught off guard when I downloaded that product. I got to their add, thinking I was at a MicroSoft site, but forgot to double check myself. I've seen no difference in using that product, good or bad, thus far. But I think I dodged a bullet, but I'm still seeking comments from someone who may know some definitive infomation about RegCure; are they sanctioned or not by MicroSoft. You can tell I'm scared (I've exposed my butt.), a testimonial of how many times I've used but in these few sentences.

It seems to be a legit product (although maybe unnecessary product), but I'd bet you a beer that they have NO association with Microsoft.

Hello,
Please understand that we mainly discuss Exchange issues in this forum. As your issue is related to a third party system software, maybe the system forums or newsgroup is a better place.
For Windows Vista:

If you installed Windows XP, you can refer the following link for help.

Hi,Sorry for posting this here and not in the newsgroup but it seemed like the perfect place.I have been running XP for over 2 years and because I share my computer with my kids there are a lot of apps installed and consiquently my computer is running incredibly slow.I read here about Regcure here: http://www.registrycleanergeeks.com/regcure/review/ - it says that it will remove all unwanted registry keys and optimize the PC too.Do you think it is safe to use this software and will it make my computer any quicker? Thanks.
