I just reinstalled server 03 and starting to install exchange 07. I demoted the server before hand. I am getting the following error when trying to install exchange 07:Error:The well-known object entryB:32:A7D2016C83F003458132789EEB127B84:CN=ExchangeServers\OADEL:b0292d81-d27e-4aef-b0b7-27a065e04483,CN=DeletedObjects,DC=city,DC=pri of the otherWellKnownObjects attribute on container objectCN=Configuration,DC=city,DC=pri points to an invalid DN or a deleted object. Pleaseremove the entry and rerun the taskI used ASDI edt and removed everything in the CN=Services --> CN=Microsoft Exchange and still it wont work.

I'm hoping this is a lab, as the blanket delete was not a good idea. If all you want is exchange 07, run setup.exe /prepareAD also, run a dcdiag against your domain controllers.

No it isnt a lab... I was told by a consultant this is what I had to do. This is being done in an existing AD... Will that command affect my existing AD settings?

Yes, the prepareAD setup switch will extend the schema and prepare the domain for the exchange 2007 install.

And i might reccommend a new consultant.
