Relay from Internal Web Server (Third Party)
Have deployed SBS 2011 server with Exchange Server 2010.
Since deployment my web server has stopped sending mail to me.
I am sure this is a relay problem.
The issue I have is all the articles suggest I need to add another IP address to the SBS server. Which BPA does not recommend. I am unable to change port for sending on the Web server.
Article I have read etc are as follows.
http://exchangepedia.com/2007/01/exchange-server-2007-how-to-allow-relaying.html.
Is there another solution that does not overly compromise the security of the Exchange server

Hi,
The recommended is to create a new Receive Connector with the permissions the application need to send e-mails through Exchange (unauthenticated SMTP, for example) and then add the IP address of the web server to that Receive Connector.
If you need to relay e-mails to external users, then you will also need to assign further permissions:
550 5.7.1 Unable to relay
Please let us know if you need help creating the Receive Connector.http://LetsExchange.blogspot.com
