Relay issue
We have Exchange 2003 running and in the process of migrating over to Exchange 2010 SP2. We have certain servers that are allow to relay emails to Exchange. On these servers, some of the coding says to email to "ABC_Group" while others have the
full email address ABCD-Group@domain.com. There were no issues on Exchange 2003; it works either way. However, on Exchange 2010, the codes that does not have the full email address are not able to
relay to Exchange. They get the message that the email is invalid. Are there any settings on Exchange 2010 that I can change to allow this to work?
thanks.

Did you create a mail contact in Exchange with the external address? Doing it that way, and then sending to the internal address, doesn't require any relay rights.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

That is correct the behavior was changed in exchange 2010 to not include the default domain if it was ommited.
You need to set the receive connector and set the default domain parameter.
