Relaying in exchange 2007
Hi All,
I need one help regarding email relaying in new exchange 2007 environment.
Currently we are having 3 exchange 2003 mailbox server and all application are relaying their mails through these three, Now I have to decommission exchange 2003 servers and shift relay to newly exchange 2007 server (CCR node + 2 HUB/CAS role)
I have so many plan in my mind for shifting on exchange 2007 like:
1: I can create one receive connector and can put all application IP in this connector for relay but problem is that we have to know all sender IP and also need to inform to point mail to our HUB IP.
2: we can create one cname record in DNS for HUB/CAS and ask to developer to send mails to new host record name. Here also drawback is all developer need to change IP.
Apart of this if you guys have any idea then please let me know how we can do less affect to senders for this move.

You could create an anonymous receive connector with the network range 0.0.0.0-255.255.255.255 that the applications will use providing the IP address(es) of the hub transport servers

would create a receiveconnector that only asnwer request from IP of your applications. then set permission on the receiveconnector that allow anonymous relayinghttp://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2006/12/28/432013.aspxlasse at humandata dot se, http://anewmessagehasarrived.blogspot.com
