Removal of the Secondary SMTP address.
Hi Guys, Help needed. Here is the scenario we have a company called ABC.com and this ABC Company acquired XYZ company. And for XYZ users we created Secondary SMTP address called firstName.Lastname@ABC.com So now XYZ users having the two SMTP address called firstname.lastname@ABC.com and firstname.Lastname@XYZ.com but now the Owner of the ABC company wants to delete all the secondary SMTP address called firstname.lastname@XYZ.com from the acquired users ( XYZ users) and make it only one SMTP address @ABC.com. So is there any script/cmdlet where i can get all the user details that who all are having the secondary SMTP address called firstname.lastname@XYZ.com and how to delete or replace all with firstname.lastname@ABC.com.

Unless you are dead-set on using a script/cmdlet for this operation I would recommend ADmodify ( http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996216(EXCHG.65).aspx) as it is a great tool for bulk AD operations like this. You can download it here: http://admodify.codeplex.com/ If you still want to use a script, have a gander at these: http://www.powergui.org/thread.jspa?threadID=11968 http://powershellcommunity.org/Forums/tabid/54/aft/6240/Default.aspx http://community.spiceworks.com/scripts/show/741-remove-secondary-smtp-and-secondary-proxyaddress-mailboxes-version BR Mads Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi amit79, I would suggest you use the ADmodify. Details, please see: Making bulk changes to Active Directory users with ADModify.NET http://www.activedir.org/Articles/tabid/54/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/45/Default.aspx Select “Remove E-mail Address” & modify Domain Name as your SMTP address (@XYZ.com). Check the box “Do not Remove Primary Address” below it. Please test it in your lab first Frank Wang
