Remove an ADC from Exchange
I have an error that is appearing in both System Center Essentials and the Exchange BPA utility. The BPA report reads:The Active Directory Connector server Active Directory Connector (DC02) is down or unreachable. This error could also be a result of a network or permission problem. Error: The network path was not found.I know the root cause of this error to be that I have demoted and removed the DC02 server. This server has since been rebuilt and redeployed as a file server (DC02 is completely unreachable). So my question is this, how can I get Exchange to stop looking for DC02 and, for my edification, what could have been done to prevent this from happening in the first place (should I ever need to do it again).I'm running Exchange 2003 SP2 on Windows 2003 R2 Enterprise SP2. All domain controllers are Windows 2003.Thanks for the help!

I solved this one myself (I love when that happens!). The BPA made reference to removing an ADC in another error. I used ADSI edit to connect to CN=SiteName,CN=Sites, CN=Configuration, DC=Domain, DC=com. In there was a folder for each of my ADCs. I simply deleted the one for DC02.To verify, I re-ran the BPA and it came back without the error.
