Remove content from forwarded messages
Hey all, is there a way to remove the original writer's content from a forwarded message?
Example: Bill sendsan email toJohn, and John wants to forward the message to Jane, but when he clicks Forward the content of the original message (what Bill wrote) are gone? That is, unless Bill somehow explicitly gives his permission to John allowing him to forward the message?
This gives the original sender confidence that what he or she has written is private.
Thanks!

Exchange 2000/2003/2007 provides no way to do this. I have seen no third party products that will strip content from a message based on the scenario you described. HOWEVER, you could introduce "rights management" to your organization. With Windows Rights Managment Server (and the client) the sender of a message can send you a message but prevent you from forwarding it to someone else. Outlook enforces the restriction. Windows will keep you from doing a Print-Screen or Copy-and-Paste of the content.
However, nothing keeps the receipient from calling a 3rd party up on the phone and blabbing away the secret. Technology solutions only go so far towards preventing bad behavior.
