Removing ALL public folders from the organization
Hi everybody, I think I found a dead end removing the last public folder database from the organization. I used these article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc164367%28EXCHG.80%29.aspx and tried these steps: Removing the Last Public Folder Database From an Organization... I cannot use this: Remove-PublicFolderDatabase -Identity "<server>\<storage group>\<public folder database>" Because I receive: Remove-PublicFolderDatabase : The public folder database "databasename" is the default public folder database for the following mailbox datab ase(s): At the end of the article stands this: Note: When the last public folder database in the organization is removed, the default public folder database for all mailbox databases is automatically set to null. I can't reach this point cos I cannot remove the database! I cannot assign another public folder because I haven't one, and I don't want one! Somewhere the cat is biting it's tail! Please help Mav2000ger

Hm, I ok I read this but I'm disappointed that there is no other way to do this. Deleting public folders also doesn't seem to work properly...

Ok. Now, the last resort is to delete the public folder from the ADSIEDIT and also remove the Public folder tree if that does not help.Delete a public folder:ADSIEDIT->Configuration container->Configuration->Services->Microsoft Exchange->Org name->Administrative group->Servers-><Server name>->Information store-><SG name>->Remove the PF store.Check if the issue is resolved by it. If not do the below mwntioned step.Removing PF treeADSIEDIT->Configuration container->Configuration->Services->Microsoft Exchange->Org name->Administrative group->Folder hierarchies->CN=Public Folders and remove itNOTE: Think twice before doing it and also take a back-up of the AD- Nagesh
