Removing Exchange Server 2007
Hi
I am having trouble removing Exchange 2007.
I run the uninstall from cmd and it gives this:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\Bin>ExSetup.exe /mode:uninstall
Welcome to Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Unattended SetupThe following Server Roles will be removed Hub Transport Role Management Tools
Performing Microsoft Exchange Server Prerequisite Check
Organization Checks ......................... COMPLETED
Configuring Microsoft Exchange Server
Hub Transport Server Role ......................... FAILED Transport agent "AD RMS Prelicensing Agent" is not found.
The Exchange Server setup operation did not complete. Visit http://support.microsoft.com and enter the Error ID to find more information.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\Bin>
Is there a "correct" procedure to uninstall Exchange 2007?
Thanks, Best Regards

hi,
This was one of several errorsI received when uninstalling it and eventually the following works for me no matter what the error when trying to uninstall
Stop any remaining exchange services, delete theexchange files and folder.Delete the exchange registry keys from HKLM\System\Current Control Set\Services. Set any remaining services in services console to manual.Reboot and run from the command line exsetup /mode:uninstall and it should uninstall without any problems
Worked for me, hope this helps

Hi Thanks for the reply
I have already had it removed via a different method so I wouldnt be too sure if it *would* word.
But here is the second method just in case anyone is interested.
Start -> Run -> MsiExec.exe /X{24B2C164-DE66-44FE-B468-A46D9D5E6B31}
It worked for me, thanks for your reply anyways.
Best Regards
