Removing broken Exchange 2003 server installation from XP
Hello, some of our students had tried to install Exchange server 2003 on his XP client pc (don't ask me how he could start that). Now I can't remove that anymore and Windows Update wants to install the wrong Update packages via WSUS. Tried to use Software --> Add/Remove programs, but installation assistant doesn't show the "remove" action (only "standard", "minimal" or "custom") on the component tree. Tried to use the setup of an original iso- Image, the same effect. How do I get that clean (except format c:)? Any MS removal or Fix it tool available? Hope someone can help me. Thanks.

It is more related to XP related issue since the installation assistant doesn't show the "Remove" action, therefore I would suggest post this question in XP forum for further help http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itproxpsp/threads. Your understanding would be appreciated. Just for your reference, you may use System Restore feature as the article below suggested: http://www.microsoft.com/athome/setup/cleansweep.aspx Fiona
