Rename Conference Room - Update End User Meetings
Here is the scenario, we need to rename a conference room and have it update all existing meetings on everyone's calendars with the new name. I tried a test myself by creating a test room mailbox and booking meetings on my calendar. I then renamed the conference room to something else (Alias, Displayname, etc) and it's still showing up on my calendar with the old name. (I am doing this through OWA) If you open up the meeting and double click on the old resource name it lists all the information with the new correct name. It's just not updating on the user's calendar. Is there another way I should be going about this or is it just not possible to update the name on all user calendars for already booked meetings?

Hi Test using online mode, I think you're using the offline cache mode And test using OWA Have you rebuilt the OAB?Jonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | MCSE/MCSA Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog

I'm testing using OWA, doesn't seem to work. It won't update the name of the resource in the calendar entry on booked meetings. If you double click it it shows the Alias as correct but not on the calendar. Maybe this functionality is not possible?

You have to do it manually: 1. Open the meeting, remove the original room, and then select the new room. 2. Send a update to all attendees Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
