Hi, You can't rename the server while Exchange is installed... unless you want to test your disaster recovery procedures. It will break your Exchange deployment. The only way you can rename that server is to move all the data to another server - using Exchange procedures - not just moving the databases. Then remove Exchange correctly using add/remove programs. Drop the machine from the domain, wipe it, rebuild and give it the new name. Reinstall Exchange and then move all the data back.
