Hi All, The plan is to Prep a domain for E2K7. The trick is a few sites are behind firewalls that limit open ports (supposedly setup following MS recommendations) As per my previous post http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrdeploy/thread/78861933-6e64-4eff-a78f-17ab67d9aa14 I had trouble making a telnet connection to 389 to the below servers - now fixed (by IP address) Since the firewall guys made their changes I now find : DCDIAG - passed Repadmin /showrepl - passed But repadmin /replsummary fails with : Experienced the following operational errors trying to retrieve replication information: 8341 - adgc01.us.thedimain.com 8341 - adgc02.us.thedomain.com The 2 servers above are in the "secure" site. Is it a fair rule of thumb that repadmin /replsummary MUST work cleanly before running schema updates ? Of course is anyone knows what the 8341 errors are that would be good ; I suspect they are because of ports being blocked.. Any tips appreciated Cheers LM

I don't think repadmin /replsummary must work but yes replication between all DCs across the organization should be clean run so Exchnage schema extension replicate properly across the forest...
