Replace a mailbox with an external address in Exchange 2007
This used to be easy in previous versions of Exchange. I have a user with a mailbox. There has been a request to remove the mailbox and just have an external address. For the life of me, I can't see a way to do it!SnoBoy

In powershell just run these commands to remove the mailbox and make this account a mail user which them an external address. YOu can also do this through the console too.disable-mailbox 'mailbox'enable-mailuser 'account name' -externalemailaddress 'external address'Sr. Exchange Engineer - Constellation Energy
