Replace exchange 2007 certificate
Hello.I am in the process of replacing our exchange 2007 server with a new 2010 server. So i need to replace the current certificate used by exchange 2007, with a new one that includes a legacy.domain.com so old 2007 users can be redirected to that address while i am migrating. Now my question is how do i replace an excisting certificate? I think i have a pretty good idea, but would like confirmation before i proceed.First import the new certificate into IIS7.Then run the import-certifiacte command in powershell. Then run the enable-exchangecertificate -services imap pop3 iis smtp in powershell. Also add the thumbprint of the new certificate.Following this process, users should not be affected, correct? Also should i for some reason need to go back to the old certificate, i can just run the enable-exchangecertificate -services command again, with the thumbprint of the old certificate, correct?Thank you for your time./Michael

That is mostly correct - you don't have to import the Cert into IIS.Import-Certificate will import the certificate into the certificate store and when you run enable-exchange certificate it will add the cert to IIS for the legacy OWA url for example.OliverOliver Moazzezi | Exchange MVP, MCSA:M, MCTS:Exchange 2010, BA (Hons) Anim
