Replacing Exchange 2000 server by Exchange 2007 server
I have a Exchange 2000 server running on a Window 2000 Server (it is a DC). I am trying to install another Exchange 2007 server on a Window 2008 Server to make them coexist. And I got three more DCs (Window 2003/8 Servers) at my organization as well. I have successfully installed the "mailbox" and "Client Access" of the E2K7, but failed to install the Hub Transport Role, and the error message is "Service MSExchange Transport" failed to start. I got the some error messages about the DNS and one warning message saying that Source: MSExchange ADAccess; EventID: 2116; Level: Warning "Process MSEXCHANGEADTOPOLOGYSERVICE (PID:1452). The DC myEx2000server.mycompany.com is running Windows 5.0 (2195). Exchange Active Directory Provider requires that dc s are running W2k3... And those DNS related error messages are as follows: Source: MSExchangeMailSubmissor; EventID: 1005 Level: Error The local Exchange server does not belong to and Active Directory Source: MSExchange EdgeSync; EvetID:1028 Level: Error The topology load could not determine the local site. EdgeSync must be able to acquire current local site data from the AD directory service to properly operate.... How can I solve this problem? Thank you in advance.
