Replacing existing HUBCAS servers configured in NLB to NEW server hardware
Hi There, we have a requirement of replacing our HUBCAS servers configured in NLB to NEW server hardware. This is on windows server 2008. Details: Have got two servers configured with exchange 2007 Hub Transport & client access roles configured with windows Network Load Balancing on Windows server 2008. NLB configured in Unicast mode. Exchange 2007 SP1 can anyone help me with the proper steps / procedure on same. Thanks in Advance. Hasan Sayyed. Regards, Hasan Sayyed

Hi Hasan, You can try to add additional 2 new CAS/HUB servers to the WNLB, after that, please remove the old 2 ones. Frank Wang TechNet Community Support

Exactly, I agree with Frank, you have only to add the two new server to the windows NLB and then remove the other 2. Good luckBest Regards Don't forget to mark it as answer if it helps

Hi Frank, You mean to say, to add new servers to the existing NLB, or i have to create new WNLB setup for the new servers? Also we need to use same name and IP scheme for the new setup. request you to please share the removel steps for old NLB setup. Thanks and Regards, Hasan SayyedRegards, Hasan Sayyed

Hi, 1) Shutdown Old Servers... Reset the Account from AD... 2) Install 2 fresh servers with same O/s,Patches,Name and Network Configuration 3) run setup.com /m:recoverserver Reason is that it will recover all your existing Settings for owa url,certificates connector setting etc.....
