Resource Booking Attendant Date Format
Hello, I have just setup a room resource and enabled the resource booking attendant on the room. We are getting the responses back fine and as expected, however the date format in the emails that it responds with are US format which is not overly helpful as it introduces ambiguity for us. I checked the region information under control panel and saw that this was set to US - so I have changed this, however the result is still the same. Does anyone have any idea on how I can get these emails from the Resource Booking Attendant to send through emails which have the date in the correct format? Thanks in advance for any ideas/help you can offer Regards Troy

Hi, Exchange will use the date and formats that are set on the System Account when sending Meeting Responses. I guess that the system account on your system still has the wrong format set and to check that, open the registry and look at the settings in HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\Control Panel\International Did you copy the changed settings to "Welcome Screen and System Accounts"? You might need to restart MSExchangeSA when done. Martina Miskovic

Thanks for the response and some ideas Martina, I went into those registry nodes and updated them to match another account that I now had the correct regional settings. They all have the same (correct) formats now; however after restarting the MSExchangeSA the message still comes through with US date format Any other ideas/suggestions are warmly received. Thanks Troy

Hi Troy, I have changed the formating many times but only by coping the changes in "Welcome Screen and System Accounts" in the Regional Settings. Could you give that a try?Martina Miskovic

Hello - I have just gone in and copied settings using the Welcome Screen and System Accounts and even restarted the server (not just service)...but no difference. Weird.

That's very weird. Just tested it right now and it worked for me. I restarted both services MSExchangeSA and MSExchangeMailboxAssistants. Martina Miskovic

yes - from what you say it makes sense that this should be all that is required, but for some strange reason it's just not working on my installation. Oh well it's not a life or death situation, but just something that would have been nice to sort out. Thanks again for your help Martina!

Play around with it, cause is should work. Make sure that you first configure the setting you want to have (short date/time, long date/time) for your own settings and then copy them.Martina Miskovic
