Windows 2008 sp2 running Exhange 2007 sp2. Have started getting this message - An error occurred on database "SalesPerson Storage Group\SalesPerson Database". Function name or description of problem: Restrict/SetSearchCriteria Error: 1162 Warning: fail to apply search optimization to folder (FID 4-69963E2F02) Retrying without optimization. Conflicting information on the web - some say not to worry about others say this is a problem. Any help would be appreciated.

No ideas? Seems i getting a few more than usual.

This appears to be related to an iphone setup incorrectly. Still monitoring at the moment. Phone was re-programmed to get email on 5/4/10. Don't see the errors as of today.

Never mind, the warninging is back. Thought i had found the cause.

Strange error now it is gone. Have I missed an iphone? Which might be the problem? Something to ponder, one of the salepeople is out of the office which has an iphone.

So i've been told, but if the problem can be found and resolved, would this not be the solution? As stated before, i've got 2 sales people with iphones. 1 has been completed re-setup and the other is out of the office and i'm not having any messages appear. Waiting for the other salesperson to return to see if messages re-appear. I guess at the moment, this question and answer session is more of a sanity check for me and for those like me who get these messages and think - "what the heck have i done wrong now?".

The answer is the iphone needs to get set correctly.
