Restrict incoming emails from specific senders outside domain
Thank you. Can yourestrict a user to not only receive from their own domain - but also add a specific set of email addresses outside the domain they can receive from?
I found the check box where I can restrict to authenticated users only, and there is the option to receive only from a specific list, but when I go to add I can only select from our domain. Can I added, for instance, a yahoo address outside our domain so can receive from anyone in our domain and a specified list of other non-domain users?Thank you.

Is this Exchange 2007? If so, you could use Hub Transport Rules to accomplish this.

Hi,
You can do this by enabling sender filtering. This can be done on the message delivery properties of the global settings item. Here you can fill in domains or specific e-mail addresses which you want to block.
The next step is to enable this on protocol level:
- expand servers
- expend protocols
- expend smtp
- get the properties of the smtp virtual server
- on the general tab click on the advanced button
- select the item all unassigned/the specific ip entry
- click the edit button
- enable apply sender filtering

Johan

Hi Kris,
I would like to explain that you can also create a contact for the external user and add the contact to the Only from list. In addition, please uncheck the From authenticated users only.
You need to restart the System Attendant Service to make the configuration work immediately
For detailed information regarding the options, you can refer to following article:
