I have been asked to create a mailbox for a user who only needs to be able to email 5 people outside the organization. He should not be able to email anyone else inside or outside of the organization. Could someone help me out? Thanks Mike

Hi Satheshwaran, That method would work but I would have to create a mail enabled contact in Exchange for each recipient the exception applies to. I was hoping that I wouldnt have to do that and just be able to key in the email address. You have given me a base to build upon!! Thanks Mike

You can just state that on the message header. That way you don't need to make a contact but you will need to create a new rule for each person you want to mail to.

hi, I recommend that you use mail contact. Then one rule can help you to achieve your requirement. It is more efficient and flexible. You should create five mail contact for your five recipients and then add them into a group. You can create the rule with following conditions. Condition: Apply rule to messages from <username> Action: You can chose to silently drop the message or send a failure. Exceptions: When the text patterns appears in message header Under text patterns: You can mention those 5 people email address
