Hello All,

I have a master template and have completed everything for a class work.

Lastly i have playbook.docs for each and every category.

So when a Particular category is selected from the Data validation list, i want to get the resultant in any cell with its corresponding doc file.

If i select from A1 cell data validation list, i should get the below results

A1 : Lion B1: lion.doc

A1 : Elephant   B1 : Elephant.doc

I have a huge list like this. I cant store all docs in excel file. So i need to link them to a local path.

Is there any way i can do this. Kindly help me on this.

Not sure I understand.

Do you mean that somewhere you have a list that contains lion.doc, Elephant.doc etc.

Cell A1 has data validation with a list containing lion, elephant etc.

When you select lion from data validation is cell A1, you want the full name like lion.doc to display in B1.

I don't know what you mean by "Lastly i have playbook.docs for each and every category".
