Retrieve a single missing email for one user possible? Found messageid in message tracking.. or do a db restore/recovery? 2007
I have one user that needs an email retrieved from over a week ago.. i do have a full backup plus incrementals for every day since then (full was done on 10/5.. incrimentals after this.. date in question is 10/8).. I did a message tracking search and found the messageid ... Is there a way to just pull this email and its contents.. or do i need to do a recovery database etc (not sure on the steps with this one.. i think it would involve a merge of some kind).. Any thoughts would be great.. This is on exchange 2007 standard edition. Thanks

Not sure if it is still needed. :) but here is the solutions below... You can restore it from the Dumpster if you set the date of "keep deleted items" before then the date you want to restore from. see these Article for how to... How to Recover a Deleted Item How to Recover Deleted Emails in Outlook To restore it by RSG see this Thread . Thanks. Vishal Ramnani | MCITP - Exchange 2007 | MCSE Messaging | MCTS - Win 2008 Config

No probably not, Troy Wereliusis digging up ancient threads and using them for advertising for his company. I am not sure if he or his companyrealizes that he is alienating some portion of the Exchange community by doing this.Jim McBee - Blog - http://mostlyexchange.blogspot.com
