Room Mailbox Not showing up?
Hello I have Exchange 2010, outlook 2010.
I've created a Room Mailbox called FE Travel. No problems there, and I can create an appointment in outlook with me plus I am able to add the Room Mailbox FE Travel to my appointment for testing purpose.
But where do I see the calendar for FE Travel room (besides in my own personal calendar)? Is the FE Travel not in the Public Folders list? I cannot see it there. I thought you were suppose to see a Room Mailbox listed on as calendar on the Public Folders
list?

No you will not see it in the Public Folders. Public folders was not designed for rich calendaring functions since it lacks Free Busy (availability checks) as well as other features. Users will only see it when they create a new appt,
select the room and click scheduluing assistant to check the Free Busy times.James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com

So other users will only see it if they open up a new appointment and add the same room with the same time and date slot as I? Then they will see a "can't add this appointment message" correct because I've taken it?

They they send the appt without first checking if it's available then they will get a rejection notice. User's will typically check the availability of the room as well as the users they want to invite prior to sending the appt. If they go into the scheduling
assistant they will see the availability including the room's availability.James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com
