Routing mater deleted in Exchange 2007?
Hi all,Been running the ExBPA and have pulled up this error:The routing master has been deleted.I know why, as i have a testing exchange 2007 server in the environment, and then installed another - the old one was removed. So this is because the first server no longer exisits. 2 things:1) it is actually not affecting anything, but i would like to be able to change it2) How do you do it in Exchange 2007? I have found the msExchRoutingMasterDN via ADSI edit, and indeed, it is showing the deleted server - can i just edit this directly? Any other thoughts?CheersE

Here is something to try. Go in to Exchange System Manager, open up your routing groups and look at the members folder. Right click on one of the existing servers and set it to the Routing Master. I am not sure why Exchange would care about an E2K7 server being a routing master. Maybe this is just a bogus error that the ExBPA is generating and you could safely ignore it.
I *might* try this myself, but I am reluctant to tell you to do this, but I might just delete the Exchange 2007 admin group entirely. That should clear up the ExBPA error. The group would get recreated if you ever ran E2K7 setup and the Prepare AD processes again.
After thinking about this for a few minutes, I think the best thing is just to ignore this message.

Piece of Cake! :-)
you can use ADSI Editor and go to "Exchange Routing Group (SID)".
find MsExchRoutingGroupMembersBL. On the properties, check what's your "master" for Exchange routing group.
Now, go to MsExchRoutingMasterDN. Put EXACTLY the value from MsExchRoutingGroupMembersBL on this field..
Solved!
