Rule for sent items

I usually get all my emails in the inbox and reply , once done I move my emails to seperate folders based on different customer names. all my replies lie in the sent items folder which is troublesome as sorting it out periodically and moving it to the same folders as the original emails is time consuming at the end of the week.

I would like to have a rule which moves emails from Sent items to different designated folders based on the subject line of the email I manually move from the inbox to the designated folder.

Hey,

Yes a rule can be applied in order to move your sent mails in a separate mail according to their subject line. Follow the below listed steps to create the rule in your Outlook,

  1.        Move to the Tools option >> Rules & Alerts (Rules Wizard).
  2.        Select the New Rule option.
  3.        Select the option from the third division Check message after sending. As can be seen from the below screenshot.
  4. After this click Next and select any of the the option shown in the below screenshot as per your requirement.
  5. Then type the specific words according to your requirement and proceed.
  6. Select the option "Move it to specified folder. Then select the folder in which you wish to store the mail.
  7. Click next and finish the newly created rule.
  8. Exit Outlook and restart again so that rule can be applied.
