Run a custom script when email is delivered
Is it possible to run a script (.exe or call an internet URL) using MS Exchange when i receive an email to a specific account?I would like to create a new email address and when somebody sends an email to it, i run a custom script which will generate a response that i can send back to the sender. The custom script could run on the same box or could be called from a URL.thanks in advance.neil

Clarify: You want to get a script which can send auto-reply for a specific mail-enabled user account
This forum is for exchange related issues. For questions about Script please use the Development Forum which would be the most relevant forum for your question.

You do know OL rule can achieve this function as a workaround, right?
1. Create an OL template (oft file)
2. Set a server-side auto-reply rule by using Rules and Alerts of Tools menu
Notes: You doesnt need to run OL for it after the setting is done
3. Make sure that you have enabled auto-reply on EMS

PS: I tested the function in the following environment Exchange 2003 SP2, Outlook 2003 SP3
