Running eseutil /ml with storage group online?
Is it possible to run ESEUTIL /ml to check a storage group's transaction log integrity without dismounting the entire storage group? The situation we're in is that we have databases that are mounted and working, but we're getting 1018 errors when we try to back them up. It was caused by a hardware issue this week. We've been restoring last week's database backups and replaying transaction logs, which had been working just fine. Last night we performed a restore, but encountered a corrupt transaction log, which caused the replay process to error out. Luckily there was only one corrupt log, and we had a non-corrupt copy in our backups, so it wasn't a big problem. What I'd like to do is check a storage group's transaction logs for corruption before attempting the whole restore process on that group, but I'd prefer to avoid taking the storage group down if possible...

Yes, the store must be cleanly dismounted.

The database must be offline before you run it, http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125171.aspx.ThanksWillWill Shepherd - MCSE/MCITP/MCTS (Windows 2008,Exchange 2007,OCS 2007)
