I have been asked to setup S/MIME on an Exchange 2003 server. Can anyone recommend a document that details the install steps for S/MIME and can anyone tell me if it is a fairly simple deployment or is it a complex rollout.

Exchange KMS was discontinued after Exchange 2000, and S/MIME enrollment was completely offloaded to Certificate Services, since key archival became available.It can be fairly simple to very complex to deploy, depending on your organizations needs.
