Hi There, Im currently in the process of upgrading my sbs2003 sp 2 server to sbs2003 R2. To do this requires we upgrade exchange sp1 to exchange service pack2 I have ran the exchange service pack 2 installation, but during the Exchange Messaging and Collaboration Services stage it halts with the following error setup failed while installing sub-component smtp service with error code 0xc103798a . I have checked the exchange sp2 log file and receive the following. regsvr /s e2kdsn.dll Failed returning error code 5 (access is denied). -- ID:31136 ---screateprocess (f:\tisp2\admin\src\libs\exsetup\hiddenw1.cxx:1821) Any ideas. are you logged on as the default domain admin account? Or at least domain admin/ent admin ?

Yes i have full domain admin permissions
