SBS 2003 w/SP2 - Installing Exchange 2003
Hi,
I've got an SBS 2k3 server running with SP2 and all subsequent patches.Upon installing Exchange 2003I was prompted that the file versions were newer on the machine than the source installation files - that being said, i declinedreplacing those newer files. This happened when applying SP2 for Exchange too. Are there any known issues with installing this way. WasI way off base in keeping all newer files? I would greatly appreciate a sanity check from someone. Thanks in advance!!

Hi,
Thank you for your information.
After viewing the log file, I didnt find any abnormal state on the process of installation except for the .NET Framework 2.0 was already installed on the computer.
As we all known, the .NET Framework is one of the requirement for Exchange 2003. In fact, when installing Exchange Server 2003 on a server, Exchange Setup installs and enables the Microsoft .NET Framework automatically. If the higher version of the .NET Framework was already placed in the computer, you will be prompted.
Thus, all the process is normal. Please dont worry about that.
Thanks
