HP Scanner 7520 will only scan to WINDOWS LIVE MAIL or SAVE TO FILE.

I have just installed OUTLOOK.com with the understanding it is to replace WINDOWS LIVE MAIL and HOTMAIL.

WINDOWS LIVE MAIL continually comes back the next day wanting password installed.  That causes all kinds of complications with PASSWORD STORAGE VAULTS.

Outlook.com (formerly Hotmail) is a free web-based email account - nothing to install so you'll need to be a little more specific in terms of what you're actually referring to including "That causes all kinds of complications with PASSWORD STORAGE VAULTS" - what are Password Storage Vaults.

Note this forum is for Outlook (the desktop client) so if your question is related to Outlook (desktop Client) - you'll need to provide information regarding version of Outlook.
