SERVER 2003 AND EXCHANGE 2003
I've been reading online and am a little confused. Can exchange 2003 run on server 2003 or are there problems that will occure. I'm having server 2003 and exchange issue for a long time now. Should I be posting to server or echange forum? I'm not sure whats causing the problem but i think its exchange. I just removed using dcpromo my old domain and recreated a new domain and when the server startes up it takes a really long time to load computer settings and desktop profile?
Any ideas?
Thank you

Hi fmmontei,Your question could be interpreted many ways. Here are some of the ways I interpreted it and the answers.(1) Can exchange 2003 be installed on the Windows Server 2003 Operating System? yes(2) Can exchange 2003 be installed in an Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Environment? yes(3) Can exchange 2003 be installed on a Windows Server 2003 Domain Controller? yesThe answer to all of these versions of the same question is yes. However It sounds like you are having problems that you did not describe. What is happening to make you think there is a problem and that exchange could be related to the problem?-matt

What you mentioned sounds like a windows issue although it is not clear from your post what exactly the problem is.
If the problem is the server takes too long to come up and present logon prompt, it may be DNS related. If you did dcpromo on the server to demote it from being a Domain Controller, your problem is most likely incorrect DNS configuration on the server.
