SMTPSEND.OverAdvertisedSize; message size exceeds fixed maximum size
Emails above about 16MB are getting the above message. I have checked all of the Hub Transport settings, including in ADSI Edit. Everything is set to at least 31000KB. Exchange 2007 SP1. Any ideas?

You need to verify size limit settings at various places, here are couple of references for a good start...

Have you checked after restarting transport service on all Hub transport service? This will flush cache if Exchange is considering old message size.Amit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

Hi,After reviewing the configuration that you posted, I found that the Smart Host was configured on the Send Connector.I would like to confirm whether any size limit settings at the Smart Host. Did you check it?Additionally, please ensure there is no size limit settings on the firewall or security software in your environment.ThanksAllen

The limit on the smart host is the same as on the Exchange server. Also, it's the Exchange server rejecting the messages, not the smarthost (they never get to it at all; I've checked the logs).
