SMTP Address
Hello,A user scans a document and send it throught the scanner. The scan address is: scan@mycompanyname.comThe this is that I cannot find that SMTP address in my organisation. it seems like the scanner has been somehow configured to take that scan@mycompanyname.comSMTP address.Users were receiving the emails as Junk E-mails so I did whitelist the email address. Though, one user still had the problem and the onsite support had to allow the SMTP address from the outlook application.I just wonder how could I find out who is behing the scan@mycompanyname.com?? The Header? how could I get all the information? Any info, tips etc.. are more than welcome!!Thanks

That address is probably set on the scanner itself. You could always look in the Internet headers of the message in Outlook or look in message tracking.

Sender address is set by the scanner. It depends on the vendor where in the UI (or through the control panel) you can configure this.

Hi,I assume that you have Network Scanner withSMTP server and sender email address setting. Normally, you can connect by web browser to that kind of scanner. Then, you try to find the sender email addressscan@mycompanyname.comand change it to your company's email address.Thanks.Kyi
