hi, i am running Exchange2003 Enterprise Server in Cluster Mode, few days back the active server failed (reasons not mentioned here) & cluster services could not be completly mounted on passive server, Specially MSA Resource was unable to transfer ( this happens twice but fortunately it was weekend so no service outage was faced by users. so after some trouble shooting i switched on the active server after troubleshooting & resumed service from it but this server worked off and on so services intruption was still there (with the following error 419).so i disabled its heart beat adapter but erros were still not removed. Then i googled the things and verified my setting as per below link along with Anti virus Exclusions to Data base & Log Files folder of Exchange 2003 http://www.tech-archive.net/Archive/Windows/microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs/2005-09/msg02837.html but still the error continued to occur.

Have you check the perms? I don't have a 2003 to check but for 2007\2010 should be Administrator: Full ControlSystem: Full ControlNetwork Service: Read, Write, and Delete Subfolders and Files Also run exbpa it should flag if it's a permissions issue. i have verified my permissions as per below links http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823022 and today also all data base's got dismount. right now running integrity check / repair tools on it, since corruptio nhas been marked due to abnormal shutdown of data bases.

Hi I found a thread have the same Error, Event ID: 419 http://msdn.itags.org/exchange-server/179108/ And As it said: "If the service didnt have adequate permissions on the \mailroot queues , then it would log that error.
