SMTP folder empty
Exchange 2003
I need to troubleshoot an email issue and in the process I need to take a look at the NTFS<>.eml file with notepad but its for some reason not showing up in the queue folder even after I disabled outbound email (ESM Queue) and or pauses the SMTP VS, its actually showing up in the ESM queue in a frozen state but its no where to be found. I even searched for any .eml extension and for all files created today but no luck. Where in the universe is this email hiding out.

Hi,This is normal only mails received via smtp are stored on the disc Other files are stored in the information store. Hi,
In addition to Johan, if you need to check message which submitted by MAPI client, you need to use Achive Sink tool. For your reference:
